This door does not have weather stripping applied to the exterior of the door. This is a common problem in older homes that pre dated the modern weather stripping that is in use today.

Before weather stripping has been applied to the door. You can see the shadow that runs along the top of the door that will be sealed off with the weather stripping. This will keep excess wind/dust/pollen/bugs and particles that you don’t want inside your garage.

Before weather stripping has been added. You can see the shadows that run along the edge of the seal of the door.

After Weather Stripping has been added to the garage door. You can see all the shadows/gaps have been eliminated which will make the door air tight.

After weather stripping has been added to the top of the garage door.
