Double Spring Change in Central Richmond

With this service call we were working with a broken spring. Our customer had called in saying that they heard a loud bang after closing their garage door and that it looks  like the cables are broken. Right away this tells us that it is a broken spring judging by the description. When we got to site it became apparent that it was in fact a broken spring as you can see in the before picture their is a gap in the torsion spring when it should only be one long piece. Once we had installed the new spring we provided our customer with a general service to their garage door to make sure that everything else is working properly while we were there, saving our customer the costs of another service call. A general service usually includes balancing the door accordingly, tightening the door fasteners, lubing the hinges and bearings, finishing the job with testing the safety system and making sure things are running smoothly before leaving site.
