Single spring that requires replacement. This spring as you can see has green paint on it which indicates that the spring is a .243 spring size. This green spring is common for a heavy door that is usually of wood design. There is also black paint on the cone of the spring that you can see the orientation of the spring.  Black will indicate that the spring is a Left wound spring.  If you look carefully you can also see a “LW” printed in black on the curve of the spring.  LW would indicate Left Winding of the spring.  These little details are important to know when you are determining what kind of spring you need to get.
