With this install we were working with a new construction site so we didn’t have to remove and dispose of the old doors, just install the new doors and openers on site. Our customer chose to go with (2) 8 x 8 Clopay Coachman series, model CD12 with Arch 1 in factory black finish and clear glass top section. As you can see in the photo the black was a very good choice as it made the doors stand out but went along nicely with the other black finishes around the house. With the doors we also included 2″ standard lift hardware as well as 9″ high lift and perimeter weather stripping. With the cold weather just around the corner perimeter weather stripping is something that is very popular as it can add extra insulation in the garage and also keep the draft out as well as unwanted critters. Perimeter weather stripping is something that we include with all of our installs as well as 2″ standard lift hardware.
With the doors our customer also chose to go with (2) Liftmaster 8500 Jackshaft openers in which we inlcuded 2 remotes and a digital entry. Digital entry can come in handy often when you only have a certain amount of remotes or if you happen to lose on you can still gain access to the garage by entering a desired code. Usually when you lose a remote for your garage door people start to panic so having a digital entry can be helpful knowing that you always have a back up plan if something were to happen to a remote.
Once we had the doors and openers installed we programed our customers remotes for them and set them up with their digital entry and choosing the code. We also made sure that everything was aligned and balanced properly, checking the tension of springs while finishing the job with testing the safety system for smooth operation before leaving site, leaving our customer happy and satisfied with our install.Posted by Jamie Posted on 10 Nov
